After a reading of Never Give Up by the author\, participants can learn how to help turtles cross the road safely and explore model casts of local turtle species. \nJan Everett illustrated and authored a children’s book about saving turtles on the Causeway Road\, Long Point\, ON. The surprising ending parallels the efforts of the Long Point Causeway Improvement Project. The book helps promote the message that saving these reptiles from harm promotes a healthy turtle population as a litmus test for a thriving eco-system.
