A large private event will be taking place at Longwoods Road Conservation Area on Friday, May 1, 2026. Ska-Nah-Doht Museum will not be open that day. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Longwoods Road Conservation Areaย spans 63 hectares of forest, ravines, and wetlands in the Carolinian Life Zone. Its highlight isย Ska-Nah-Doht Village, a recreated Indigenous settlement, alongside heritage log cabins and a museum with artifacts, exhibits, and a gift shop. Visitors can exploreย 10 km of scenic trails, many wheelchair accessible, with boardwalks and bridges offering stunning views. The site also features aย significant wetland, picnic areas, group camping, and a rentable pavilion. Educational programs and public events run year-round, making it a vibrant destination for nature lovers, families, and history enthusiasts alike.
Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum
Located within Longwoods Road Conservation Area, Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum, features a recreated Longhouse village, similar to those from 1000 years ago, an indoor museum that highlights local Indigenous heritage and the environment, as well as three Heritage Log Cabins.
