Agriculture Programs
The LTVCA works with many funding partners to offer farmers grants for many different BMPs such as cover crops, soil sampling, windbreaks, buffer strips and more.
Precision Phosphorous Reduction Program (PPRP)
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority (LTVCA) is pleased to offer the 2026 Precision Phosphorus Reduction Program (PPRP) funded in partnership with the Canada Water Agency. The PPRP will run through 2028 and aims to provide farmers with the knowledge and tools to reduce the loss of phosphorus to the natural environment, while recognizing the vital role it plays to crop quality and yield.
The 2026 program offers financial incentives and cost-share opportunities in eight categories of best management practices (BMPs). LTVCA aims to distribute funds across the region, expanding BMP project impact, while reaching the maximum number of acres and farm businesses.
Resilient Agriculture Landscape Program (RALP)
The Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) Marginal Lands Initiative is to create or enhance natural features on marginal agricultural lands to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions, sequester carbon, and increase Ecosystem Goods and Services.
