Rolling into five years of conservation tour in the Lower Thames Valley.
LTVCA showed off their agriculture and environmental stewardship projects at the annual Cultivating Conservation Tour on September 5, 2025.
To celebrate five years of the event LTVCA rolled through the Western watershed on a bus tour, sightseeing properties using best management practices for farms and rural properties.
This annual event is a welcome chance to showcase progress in stewardship initiatives, while showcasing the solutions available for farmers and landowners to resolve environmental concerns on their own properties.
Visitors toured five project sites to learn about cover crops, erosion control structures, wetlands, tree planting projects and converting former agricultural land into a conservation area.ย Further opportunities were available after the tour to hear about regional water monitoring practices and aquatic species at risk.
After a full day of learning, participants and LTVCA staff gathered at Two Creeks Conservation Area for dinner in the park to celebrate another successful year of the Cultivating Conservation Tour.
LTVCA appreciates occasions like this to meet community members and find new ways to work together in the future. This event was possible because of the support of attendees, funders and the dedicated staff involved with hosting the tour.
