If you couldn't make it to the Bug Safari at Longwoods Road Conservation Area, no worries! We will be having Bug Safari days from 12:00 - 2:00pm at C.M. Wilson Tuesday, July 28th, and Thursday, August 13th. Meet us in the day use area picnic tables at 12:00pm, from there we will hike the trails in search of bugs to collect and identify! Did you know the word "bugs" in Ojibwe is "manidoosag"? That translates to "little spirits"! I wonder what little spirits we will find?! Join us in creating jewelry to learn about the importance of beading in Indigenous culture, as well as the significance behind different colours and patterns! All ages welcome. This is an introductory workshop, not intended for those with experience. Workshop will be lead by Meghan King, Indigenous Community Educator at Longwoods Road Conservation Area.
