  • Never Give Up, Turtle Talk at Longwoods Road Conservation Area

Longwoods Road Conesrvation Area 8348 Longwoods Road, Mount Brydges, Ontario, Canada

Hear the story of little Johnny's attempts to save turtles in peril crossing a busy road, reminding us the importance of never giving up! After a reading of Never Give Up by the author, participants can learn how to help turtles cross the road safely and explore model casts of local turtle species. Jan Everett illustrated and authored a childrenโ€™s book about saving turtles on the Causeway Road, Long Point, ON. The surprising ending parallels the efforts of the Long Point Causeway Improvement Project. The book helps promote the message that saving these reptiles from harm promotes a healthy turtle population as a litmus test for a thriving eco-system. Saving these animals is a building block to preserve our natural environment!
